Buyer BEWARE - TERRIBLE Customer Service!!!
The custom signs we ordered are well made; however, CUSTOMER SERVICE at this company is ATROCIOUS!!!
Despite having been provided my company's state-issued tax-exempt certificate multiple times confirming that my company is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization, SmartSign refuses to remove the sales tax. I have purchased millions of dollars of product from endless vendors and every other vendor accepts a state-issued TAX EXEMPTION certificate as proof my company is tax exempt.
I've made countless attempts to resolve this issue with SmartSign and they simply refuse to help. They keep requiring that I complete paperwork that no other vendor EVER requires. I complete the paperwork SmartSign demand, and then they claim I completed the paperwork incorrectly since I did not fill out the VENDOR section of the paperwork. THEY are the vendor... not me. Charging sales tax to an organization that is clearly tax-exempt is unethical. Refusing to correct their mistake and making the customer submit endless emails & paperwork to resolve their error is shameful.
Only do business with this vendor if you have endless time to deal with terrible customer service.

MySafetySign: We are so sorry to hear that your experience with our company has not met your expectations. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we are truly sorry that wasn't demonstrated to you. We simply ask that you complete the form in its entirety like the instructions stated on every tax exempt certificate. We are willing to work with all of our customers. Currently the Pennsylvania certificate PA Rev-1220 is not completed. The form does state in bold letters - Void unless complete information is supplied, those are directions given by the state.
While we'd love the opportunity to regain your trust, we understand how frustrated you must be. Our deepest apologies for any inconvenience we have caused you. We wish you all the best in the future.
